Ok 1... being created by hojo does not mean you are bad... if hojo was a decent guy though- as zarzia says- he would be allright.
2. As for his freinds before he went mad he used to be nice... his freinds all thought they were monsters and went off, seph refused to go on missions opposing them.
3. he slew millions without remorse... thats kinda his and all the other soldiers jobs- you can't hold that to him without condemning the other guys...

as for his going mad- he was always searching for the truth of his past. now that he finds what he thinks is it, (dosn't know his human parents... but i think he knows he had a human mother cos of the documents, cos that was part of the experiment can't skip out that bit.) Burning down a town is very wrong, but i can understand why he did it... Its cos he is smarter and stronger and like- the best at everything, attributing this to jenova and looking at the research- he takes the task to make jenova's will reallity... anger and stuff at humans... made him burn the place... spose it might of been like when you get put in the wrong class in school. Also he is seemingly overjustifying from his belief that he is a monster but he would of solved that...
i think that if he 1. had known and had nice parents and 2. if he knew that he wasn't a monster... although that would of got overritten by the jenova superior thing... but he would be saner if he had freinds and stuff, although would still do whatever he was planning with jenova- or maybe he would of refused her- it says that he could have in... some ff thing... it would of been good if he refused her, but it is seeable why he diddn't...

Those are some very good points.... untill resently aka FF CC I didnt know he was good at all
