Trying beating the game with the last 3 characters @ the end of the world. That would be Celes, Edgar, and Setzer. That means you miss out on tons of good weapons and require to level up with some basic equipment.

I don't know man..... I passing it with Terra, Edgar, Sabin and Cyan, Dunno if I miss somehting....I haven't even passed it... but I'm on it..

Celes can equip the Atma weapon, Illumina or the Scimitar (Which causes random instant death.) or two of those weapons. Coupled with the Offering and Gengi Glove, she is the only source of physical power you need. Incidentally, Edgar can act as the power house instead of Celes, but I would use her instead to reserve Edgar and his tools as a side dish to carnage.

Edgar's Drill or Chainsaw will easily lend some near unnecessary assistance, and he and Setzer can use spells such as Life 3 and curative magic to support the party. It is more then possible, especially if you level them up with the proper Espers. Bismark or Raiden for Celes or Edgar will raise their strength +2 at level up every time, which will make 9999X8 damage on anything.
However, I would use Bismark instead of Raiden-because you need to transform Odin into Raiden to obtain the +2 to strength at level up bonus from Raiden, and Odin is the only Esper in the entire game which offers a Speed+1 bonus at level up.

Zoneseek or Tritoch will raise Magic Power+2, so use one of those, or both, for whoever you want your magic user(s) to be.

(Also, do not forget the Gem Box and Economizer combo for your main magic user.)

As Celes is originally high with magic power, it would seem evident to use her as the spell caster and the other two as powerhouses...but I assure you, these three characters are versatile enough that you can go about it pretty much either way.

I played that game way back in 1994. Even then I recall the difficulty that was Kefka (also my fav villian <3). I don't know if I could use JUST those three lol.

It is entirely possible. The only attack from Kefka one needs to fear is ''Goner'', and even then, if you cast Life 3 on your characters, it is child's play.

Granted though, it requires much preparation-never stated otherwise, but very possible.

In fact, I am positive that I could waste him (And the Triptych boss before him.) with merely one character.
