Default Twilight

Has anyone else read this book by Stephanie Meyer?
Its a story about a girl in high school who falls in love with a vampire.

(sounds cliche, I know but its an awesome book)

TWILIGHT!!! and New Moon!! And Eclipse!! How can you NOT love them? omg, they are like right up there in my top 5 books of all time!! ^_^ Sadly, by the time they all come out, I'll have had to extend my list to the top ten >_< There's six of them supposed to be coming out, you know :) And without looking at a list, I shall list them all in order! heehee
Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse
Breaking Dawn
Midnight Sun
Forever Dawn
^_^ Look it up, I know I'm right XD I'm obsessed! They're so good Read 'em and you're hooked! Using an analogy of Bella's, they're exactly my type of heroin XD

Read 'em before you criticize, Nadie. For all its supposed complicity, it has a certain sort of...innocence that draws me. It's incredibly sweet, in my opinion.
Hey, I had almost the same exact reaction when I first saw 'em. It's like, omg, that gets soooo old. And yes, doesn't she know better? She's an idiot. She knows that. >_> Read the book. Promise it's not like Forrest Gump. XD Though now that I think of it it does have some minor elements that could be compared to that... But then I started working at my local library, and I noticed how we had like 17 copies in our entire system, and it's such a thick book, and there were NONE on the shelves. Hello! Think about teenagers today--do they usually sit down to read a 500 page book? NO! So I started thinking, "Heck, there's gotta be something special about these books." So I checked the first one out and read it and got hooked. ;)
btw, it's Stephenie Meyer. No A's involved. >_>
They're really awesome books...I wish you would give them a chance. By not doing so, you could be missing out on something really great for you. I'm just saying.
Love ya, Nadie! Someday I hope you'll give it a shot :)

Well, I've already come to the conclusion that the book must be special in some way. There's so many who loves it, and they're even making a movie of it?
Here in Norway I haven't heard one single mention of it.
So...
It doesn't really sound like a book I would read though. I'm more for books by Neil Gaiman and such, and I believe they're rather different. I don't even find Harry Potter very good, I quit reading those series after book 4. And Lord of the Rings bores me. xD I barely read books in general. Maybe just 1-2 a year.
But then again, as much compliments as Twilight has gotten, maybe I shall give it a try. Maybe I'll just buy the book and try reading it. Who knows? Maybe I'll find it a good book and care to read it all, though most likely not. :P we'll see. If all other fails I'll see the movie when it comes out. xD
Is "a girl in high school who falls in love with a vampire" really all there is to it?

to incognito: lol thanks i figure i am, but everyone has their own opinion XDXD

to evilynn: there is so much more to it, yes. it's not just about the boy and the girl, it's about her starting over in this new land, and then this other guy gets involved...the first book is mainly them just falling in love & strengthening their bond, the second book is where the other guy really comes in...i cant tell cause that'll ruin it and i would hate myself if i did that for anyone, espcially over twilight o.o DO NOT SEE THE MOVIE UNTIL YOU READ THE BOOKS!!!! you've got another 5 months, take advantage of it =D=D=D & to me, neil gaiman sucks. i was forced to read the hobbit in 6th grade but after that i have run from the LotR books cause honestly I just don't have time...have you ever tried Terry Pratchett? his books are kinda weird too, he does series like Brian Jacques's Redwall series too...oi, so confusing lol but what I've read I've loved so yeah XD but please try to read the Twilight books? you can do it!!!! =D=D=D im rooting for you =D

to topgun: the ousiders by s.e. hinton? really, you like that? it was a good book, i'll admit, but i mean, really? that's your favorite book, like, ever? my opinion is screaming at me to tell you that you need to get out more, but i do see where you're coming from...what do you like about it? there's so many elements to such a thin book...hehe

And that's something that kinda makes it even clearer that I might not like Twilight, eh? Considering I love his works, his short stories 'We Can Get Them For You Wholesale' and 'Snow, Glass, Apples' are awesome, and 'Coraline'...haha. And MirrorMask is the greatest movie ever. In my opinion.
Terry Pratchett I have tried...I have read up to book 5 of his Discworld series, but that's long ago...xD planning to read the book he has written together with Neil Gaiman, 'Good Omens', though, of course. :P

Wahh, so are the books really thick? And must I read them all before the movie? I thought the movie would only be about book 1... D: lol
Oh well, I'll buy it when I get the chance, gonna finish the book I am reading at the moment first, though. xD
