Barret, dude! How come only me and one other dude loved Barret?! Barret was always like "What's good muh'****a?!" He was awesome! AND he had a freakin GUN for an ARM! Now tell me that that isn't freakin sweet?! Also, I noticed that some of the most underappreciated characters in Final Fantasy VII are the more masculine ones: Barret, Rude, Cid Highwind, Loz (The only one of the three Advent Villains that didn't look kind of effeminate) they're ALL underrated characters in the game! I just think it's a little interesting and kinda odd that the most masculine characters in the game are all usually not as favoured as the less masculine ones. (Basically, ALL the other characters! HAHAHAHAHA!)

Hmmm, and then there's that scene in costa del sol, where you can see Barret preening in front of a mirror in his sailor suit (in which he 'looks like a bear wearing a marshmallow!'-Aeris)...
Ah, and you can get him to ask Cloud out in the Gold Saucer...:)
I don't like Cid much because of the way he treats Shera, and I think that's why a lot of other people aren't so keen on him. And it's hard to be a Rude fan, considering his many brilliant lines:P (though i still like him)

Yeah, you're right. Loz in't exactly the most msculine ACTING character... but he IS the only one of the three who doesn't LOOK very effeminate! I swear, I'dve thought Kadaj was a chick by lookin at him if his chest wasn't so flat! That's the ONLY thing that VISUALLY gives away that he's not a chick! I always like quiet types of characters so I like Rude. Yeah, Cid IS kinda abusive towards Shera, but he changes his tune somewhere toward the end of the story... And anyway, Cid and Barret are the only two party members who both look AND act like men! Cloud was acting cool up until he started to realize who he actually was, then, he went from hitting on chicks and settling almost everything with his giant sword to just moping around, actng like ane emo, and fighting more out of neccessity than actually WANTING to kill people with his giant sword... Barret on the other hand ALMOST ALWAYS would'a wanted to settle things by shooting them! (One big exception being his friend who's name escaes me... You know, the one who he fought in the Golden Saucer's desert prison) That's why Barret's my favourite! He NEVER moped around and ****! He was a man of action! As soon as something caused him to feel depressed, he found the soucre of his problem and shot it with his arm gun! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

True:) His friend's Dyne, btw :).Hmm, Zack's also quite a masculine guy (since that's who Cloud bases his personality on in the beginning...), although he doesn't look as 'manly' as Barret/Cid...When I first saw the AC trailers, I thought that Yazoo was a woman:PI don't think Seph looked that girly in the game, though maybe that's just me... but in AC... ah well.Hehehe... Cloud talks like my mum... 'let's mosey...' :PStill, maybe the reason people like characters like Barret & Cid less is because, simply put, they're never the heroes. I mean, from ff7 on it's :CloudSquallZidaneTidusVaan (ugh...I hate ff12)None are very... masculine.And as for main villains... I mean, Kuja?! He wears more makeup than every woman on the planet put together, and as for his clothes...:P
