This is a story I started writing, but I haven't had time to add on. I will be adding on as soon as possible, but since I have TONS of school work, I make no promises.
Here is the first Chapter...
(Just to mention, when you see the name Sora, this is NO CONNECTION to Kingdom Hearts)(Also, this is not edited by me. There is no grammer check on my Open Office, and very little spell check.)(Nothing to do with Fantasy, just War)

“Alpha Team, we are ten minutes from your destination. Suit up!”
The date was October 12, 2018. Four men sat in the back of a crowded cargo plane awaiting the green light to parachute. This was a Seal team awaiting their mission, sitting patiently, and not moving except to collect their gear. There was the leader, Sora Murray, who had the physique of a body builder and the eye of an eagle. The men to his left were Tristan and Rhett Cotten. These two brothers were one of the best snipers ever taken from the military. The older one, Tristan, only out aged his brother by five years and seemed to be his protection. Neither one was good without the other so they both were awarded into the Seals not two weeks earlier.
This was their first real mission. Finally, there was Oscar Johnson. He was the muscle of the group. Once he lifted a solid military jeep off the ground! Together these men formed Alpha Team, a group of United States Navy Seals that had a secret mission in the high forest of Germany. Their objective, to collect enemy Intel from a hidden base and send that information to a group of hidden American soldiers south of their position. The Cargo Plane they were in was cleared to secretly drop these men into the dense forest within a days walk from the base. Suddenly, a red light started flashing in the cargo bay where these men were.
“Alpha Team, we are one minute from your destination. Stand by for rear hatch release.”
The room filled with light as the back door rattled and cranked to open, showing off the beautiful sun and the snow filled grounds below. There was quite a bit of wind 35,000 feet up in the air. The men stood together, their breather masks secured and hands grasped to the security rope. The red light quickly changed to green as the pilot spoke into the speakers “Alpha Team, you are cleared for HALO. Repeat, Alpha Team, you are cleared for HALO.” The men at once started for the back door, each preparing for this dive. Then, as graceful as a dove, each man jumped from the plane and went into a strait nosedive towards the frozen ground. They spun together going faster and faster until they seemed to become bullets, creating a blur in the sky.
A mere 1,000 feet from the ground, they each pulled their rip cords, slowing their descent dramatically. Finally each dropped into the soft snow of the Dragovian Forest. Almost instantly, they each dropped into the snow as if shot by a hidden enemy and presumed dead. The forest was silent. Not even a bird could be heard. Tristan could see a fox running along an old trail in the forest, Oscar could make out a snowy owl asleep on a branch. Then Sora climbed up and signaled to the other that it was safe to talk within a normal voice.
Sora got up from the ground and collected his sniper rifle from his back satchel. The other men stood next to each other and spoke among themselves. Sora yelped to the men to check their guns and to remove their parachutes. Each did what was ordered to them. Sora stood in front of his men.
“Well, men, we need to start this mission with our names. I will be Jester.”
Next he pointed to Tristan, “You are Cobra.”
Then to Rhett, “You are Vader.
Finally to Oscar, “You are Viper.”
“O.K, men, we should set up a camp for the night. We also need to set up a perimeter around the camp. Viper, Vader, go and secure the area. Cobra and I will set the camp up. Don’t forget men, we’re here for only seven days. We need to complete our mission, anyone wish to recap?”
Cobra stepped forward and began to chant, “Our mission is to collect enemy intel and any information regarding the hidden enemy base located twenty miles from our current position. This intel is to be sent to the hidden troops located around one-hundred miles to the south.”
“Correct. O.K, get to your jobs everyone.”
The rest of the day came and went and the night came soon after. The next morning was met will a chilling, burning cold. There was a fresh layer of snow and the morning was clear. But none seemed to be around. There was no movement; there were no tents, lights, or fires going. Twelve miles up a trail; there were four mounds in the snow. If you looked closely, you could barely see one inching forward. Upon closer inspection, you could tell there were the barrels of sniper rifles pointing forward. Earlier that morning, there were footsteps coming nearer and nearer to their camp. The team had to make a quick escape in the snow, and since then, about twelve hours, they have been inching towards a safe area to take a rest. There seemed not to be anyone in this area so very slowly, each man began to come from the ground until they began to walk together. When they knew that there were no other people, they started to talk among themselves.
“Hey Tristan, what do you think the base is going to be like, I hope there are…”
“Shhh! My name is Cobra! You do not give away my identity!”
“Chill, nobody’s around to hear,” spoke Viper.
“Men, don’t let your guard down! Remember, we’re still in a mission.”
“Hey, we’re just talking. Don’t worry, we’ll watch your ***,” spoke Cobra.
“Watch it, Cobra, I may not be such a good shot when it comes to protecting you.”
Vader started to snigger, but the other didn’t laugh.
“Yo, don’t even joke about that!”
“Well don’t be smart with me and maybe my aim will come back to me when you need it. Now, we need to get back to the mission, we still have… Drop down, now!
Everyone dropped at the same time, grasping their gun forward ready to aim.
“There are two, at 1:30, looks like a patrol.”
“Yea, I seem’em,” said Viper. “Looks like they’re carrying AK-47’s, two grenades, one has a radio. We need clean shots.”
“I see; I’ve got the left,” said Cobra.
“I’ve got the right,” said Vader.
The entire area quickly went silent and cold. Nothing moved. Only the barrels of the two snipers could barely been seen, each pointing to the right, aiming at two faint, white dots around a mile away. Then, as if God himself struck each of the dots, they fell to the ground as a quick flash from the barrels launched two silver bullets, mere centimeters from each other, to their targets. The men got back up from the ground.
“Cobra, Vader, go collect what gear you can. Viper and I will go and hide the bodies and “borrow” the radio.”
The men stealthily ran to the bodies. When there, they immediately took the weapons and ammo and grabbed the radio. Jester grabbed it from them and placed it in his satchel. Once the bodies were sucked dry of all their resources, the men began to dig a hole to bury them in. Once buried, the men continued on their journey until they needed to rest. A mere five miles from their destination, they again began to set up camp and secure the area. To make sure they wouldn’t have any more unwelcome guests, each man took turns during the night to take watch. Each man took hold of their rifles and stood still as if they were made of rock, unable to move either for the freezing cold or devotion to duty. The night went on with no disturbances.
The morning was quite different from the last two. There was a thick fog that rolled in from the west, making any form of sight more than five feet impossible. Once the tents were placed back in the satchel, the team went forward with great caution, since not being able to see mixed with being this close to their destination point was not a good combination. The fog finally started to lift, and at the right time to. Jester spoke to his men with a sudden breathe.
“O.K, there is no turning back. Today we will complete our mission. We don’t know what could be there, but we must have certain rules in place. Unless ordered by me myself, no one is to go within one hundred feet of the base. One we get five hundred feet, all will remain low no matter what the situation. Do not take a shot unless ordered. We do not split up unless ordered. Everyone clear?”
“Yes, sir,” the men said in unison.
Finally, the men inched forward until Jester said down. He had had the first glimpse of the base.
“Seems medium large, not much bigger than a football field. We should come a little closer and stay in this position. Don’t forget, those are the enemy. They will try to kill you if you give them the chance. And don’t forget our mission, to collect Intel. O.K, move in, keep low, and shut up.”
The men took a minute to blend into the ground and slowly moved forward. Ten minutes later, they were around one hundred feet from the base. It could be clearly seen from their position. There were a few trucks, one tank, around one hundred soldiers, a dozen barracks, and one central building, which seemed to be the headquarters. The men huddled there for at least an hour or two, Jester with a high quality microphone listening on every conversation and anything that could give him any information. He had so far collected some important names, a few radio frequencies, and some Intel here and there. The hours went by until finally, there was night.
Six days went by, each man was in the same position in which they started. Tons of news was taken from the mission. Today was day seven. They needed to return to base and spread the word. Jester gently turned his head to his left.
“O.K, men, you’ve lasted this long, but we need to RTB. You know the drill, slow and steady, one at a time. Vader will go first, then…”
“Jester! Hold on! Look! 11:45, Male, around 6:1. It’s the leader!”
“Drop you trigger finger, let me have a look… I’ll be damned; it’s him. O.KI, it looks like we are going to add a new part to our mission. O.K, everyone look through your scope and find the leader. He’s in a blue jumpsuit, only has a handgun visible, walking towards the entrance.”
“I’ve got him,” said Cobra.
“Me too,” said Vader.
“Same here,” said Viper.
Each man sat pointing their weapon towards their potential kill, then the worst could happen.
“Bravo Scout, repeat, Bravo Scout, come in. You’ve missed roll call! Get back to base,” blared the radio taken from the patrol, which was accidentally knocked on in Jesters satchel. The Seals panicked as a group of men from the base heard the radio and turned in their direction.
“Regis, sir, there’s something near those mounds there! Permission to pursue!”
“Yes, hurry and check it out,” yelled the leader.
This scared the men and each took their sights off Regis and pointed to the group of ten men coming towards their position.
“Turn that damn thing off, Jester!” Yelped Cobra.
“I’m trying! Give me a second.”
The group was getting closer. Then one of them yelled to their comrade, “call the radio again.”
Jester tried to shut it off in time, but it was too late. “Bravo Scout, is that you?
"Repeat, Bravo Scout, you have missed roll call. Come in.”
The entire group all looked to the same place. The four mounds of snow could not move, for fear of being shot. Then Jester gave the order. “Fire at Will, take out as many as you can as you can as quietly as you can. There are ten of them and four of us. Each take two and I and Viper will take the extra. We need to take them out from the back going forward so they can’t see the bodies falling as fast. Do not miss your shot!”
The group of men was a mere twenty feet from the mounds. Jester signaled silencers to be placed on and those who could take their shots were to take them at the same time as the others. Then with a faint click, four men from the back fell to the ground. A few from the front turned in surprise at the flash, but within a half of a second, they fell as if they were made of stone. The last two men were about to point their guns at the mounds and open fire, but they fell as quickly and as silently as the others. No one at the base took a second look. The Seals took a quick breath and looked at each other. Jester was able to turn off the radio. The men knew they needed to move the bodies so they took the chance to get up and each man grabbed a few bodes and dragged them to an extra large, natural mound about five-hundred feet from the base. The men took what they could from it. Jester broke the old radio and replaced it with the radio this group had. Once the men cleared them of what supplies they could snatch, they began to bury them. Cobra, after thinking a the matter, spoke up.
“Hey, I’ve got an idea. What if we took these guy’s uniforms snuck into the base as them. We could get better Intel and we could have a chance to get Regis.”
“No, we need to get out of here. We need to get to our base. We have a radio that we can give to them and that could help them out a bit. Now men, lets move out.”
The men went ahead and buried the bodies and the broken radio. They covered what snow had blood on it and continued south to try to reach their base.
The day went on for about seven hours. Jester spoke up and said that they were about two more hours from the base. They continued to walk, their feet leaving prints in the ground. They had just passed the first bodies that they had buried earlier. They had finally come to a rather large hill, where Jester mentioned to his squad that the base was just over the mound. But something unsuspected happen. The radio they had taken from the group of men started calling our a message.
“Darkhawk 1, Darkhawk 2, you are cleared for bombing run.”
This made the team’s stomachs turn. They stopped for a minute. Then, without thinking, they ran as fast as they could to the base. Five minutes later, Cobra yelled,
“I can here the planes!”
“Go, men, go!” Yelled Jester.
The men were running so fast all you could see were blurs running through the snow. The sound of planes started getting louder. The team finally got to the top of the mound. They could see the base only one hundred feet away. The team, still running, started to yell to the soldiers outside.
“Hey, get everyone out of there!”
“There are planes coming with bombs!”
The men could clearly hear the plane now and when they turned around, the planes could also be clearly seen. They stopped where they stood and continued to yell at the base. Some of the soldiers were trying to run away, but the Seals knew that they would not make it out in time so they began to run back up the hill and over the other side for cover. The planes were mere seconds from dropping their loads. Finally, the team jumped as if they were frogs over the top of the hill and rolled down. They saw the planes fly over the hill. The first second was silence, then a large flash and the sound as if a gun was shot right next to their ears. The ground was shaking and the snow hill fell, creating a mini avalanche covering the Seals. The sound and smell of burning cars, weapons, and people started to fill the air. Smoke started to cover the area. Nothing moved anymore, not even the wind. The final sounds of the two planes died away into the sunset.
Chapter 3 (Only one more that I actually have typed after this...)(WARNING: DEATH, BLOOD, GUTS, ETC.)
___________________________________
The final smoke was clearing from the air. A huge pile of snow lay at the main entrance to a destroyed base. The snow started to move around as the head of a man came bursting through gasping for air. He looked around to gather his bearings. A few seconds later, three more heads came from the snow, following the same procedure as the first. Each man pulled themselves out from the snow and walked to through the entrance to the military base.
“Look for survivors, if there are any,” spoke Jester in a sober tone.
Each man broke from their ranks and went off to look for what survivors they believed would be dead. There was only the smell and sight of burning bodies everywhere they looked. Shrapnel from busted tanks and vehicles were spattered here and there. Each man looked around without expectation until Cobra stopped to check his gun.
“He…Help…”
“What… Who’s there; where are you?!”
“Here, under this jeep…”
“Hold on, I’ll get help!”
Cobra dropped his gun and ran for Jester, who called the others to the jeep where a man was laying, his legs crushed below an overturned jeep. The men came to the jeep and began to lift it off the ground and man.
“We are going to lift the car off of you.”
“O.K…”
Jester called out “one, two, three,” and the car was lifted off the ground enough for Cobra to grab his body and pull it to safety. But as Cobra gently pulled the mans body from the wreak, he and the man gave a screech of pain and terror. He quickly dragged the body a few feet away and once the deed was done, promptly threw up in the opposite direction.
“Come on, what’s wrong! It couldn’t have been… Dead Lord!” Yelled Vader
“It’s…It’s his legs! They’ve been… They’ve been torn from his body,” screeched Jester.
The man was yelling in the most agonizing pain ever imagined. He could feel everything. Viper and Vader, holding in their stomach, grabbed the severed legs and carried the bleeding limbs to the yelling man. Everyone knew that there was no way to save his legs let alone his life. Jester knew this all too well so he bent down and from his bad, he grabbed him suicide pill and bent down to the man. It was to be as painless a death as possible. He asked Cobra for his canteen and again bent down to the man. About fifteen second later, Jester came back up from the man and he called his men to join him away from the dying soldier. He was not yelling as much and finally, about one minute later, the man took his final breath then fell silent. Cobra walked back to the man and closed his faded eyes. He then went back to the men and they, in a row, continued on for the search for survivors.
A few hours went by and there were no other survivors from the bombing. Before the men left the base, they collected what gear that survived, including a few guns and bits of ammo. There was also a working jeep hidden away that was protected by the snow. Finally, they went back to the dead man and buried him. Through out the day, they collected two hundred fifty three dog tags from the victims and placed them in Vipers bag, which now weighed a good twenty pounds heavier. They all were placing everything in the jeep as Cobra spoke up on a thought that had been bothering him.
“Hey, how are we supposed to get out of here? Weren’t we supposed to leave on that after the battle,” Cobra asked, pointing to a burning helicopter.
“Well technically, our mission is not over. The enemy base has not been destroyed which means we have not completed our objective. That’s why we’re going back and attacking the place with everything we’ve got. We have enough ammo to last for a while, the 50. Cal on the jeep, loaded of course, a couple of grenades and handguns, and a group of four extraordinary men ready to die for their country.”
“That’s all and well, but once we’re done with our mission, how are we to leave then?”
“I noticed the enemy has two choppers, both look to be in good condition. That should get us out of here to a nearby town to get out.”
“What if those are not there or are destroyed by either our fire or their own?”
“Then it looks like you better learn to like snow as dinner! Now get back to work and stop asking questions.”
The group continued to load up the jeep with everything they could get their hands on. They stayed the night in a semi-protected part of the base, unburned by the flames, where there were still seven beds. The next morning, they grabbed their gear, jumped on the jeep, and drove back to the enemy. The morning air was quite thin and the wind was biting at their faces. The ground had a fresh layer of snow. The men, when Jester said that they were around an hour from the base, grabbed their guns, loaded and cocked them, and were getting ready for the battle of their lives. Jester was handed his personalized sniper rifle along with two handguns, two grenades, and one sub machine gun, full to the brim with ammo. Viper was given control of the 50. Cal atop the jeep along with three handguns. Vader took control of the powerful XM16E1 Machine Gun found at the base. It is known as one of the worlds most powerful machine guns ever created. He was also given two handguns. Finally, Cobra snatched up two Scorpion and M98 Machine Guns, an AK-47 from the patrol they buried, along with the ammo, and his two Single Action Army handguns. The men were set for a battle, and a battle they were going to get. The trail they laid before them was set and around an hour later, they could all see the gates to the base. Jester yelled for everyone to get into position and to hold on. Around one hundred feet from the main gate, sirens rang across the base. Men seemed to be coming from everywhere, even out of the walls. Jester took the petal to the metal and broke through the gate as if it were smoke.
Guns blared from every corner of the jeep, and the enemy fell to the ground like flies. They drove and drove but when they entered a clearing, they knew they were sitting ducks. Their jeep slowed to a crawl and in all four corners were sniper turrets, awaiting an easy kill. Jester immediately yelled out “turn it over!” The men quickly jumped out of the car as if a grenade blew in their faces and landed on the ground. The men took their strength to flip the car over onto it's back where they would get some protection. They were able to flip it, but just as it landed, Cobra was shot in the leg and back with upwards of six to seven bullets, one which logged in his spine. Screaming in pain, he was dragged into the makeshift shelter, which was being pummeled with bullets. Blood was flowing everywhere and the men had little to no time to think of a plan. But as luck would have it, they flipped the vehicle atop a manhole, which was quickly opened and used as a escape route. Jester first, then Vader and Viper, who both tried to drag Cobra down with them. He refused. Jester yelled “get Cobra down here now, we've gotta go!”
“No sir!” Yelled Cobra, spitting blood into the air. He pulled the manhole cover back over the spot, covering the men in darkness. Thinking, yet not thinking, the men ran down the sewer hole as far as they could. Then, suddenly, they heard a “KAAABOOOM!!!” A huge gust of hot air flew past them. They knew what Cobra had done for the team. He used what grenades he had an blew that lot to smithereens. And they also knew that there was no hope of escape if they continued to rest, so they began on their trek through the underground sewers from the Hell above.
Chapter 4
___________________________
Finally, after thirty minutes on continuous running through the underground, Jester gave a light cough and told the two other men to take a break. The men collapsed on a dry spot spit of cement that was sticking out from the wall. They were all exhausted, too tired to move an inch. Jester, once finished with his canteen, passed it along to his men.
“We need to find a way out of this place,” he took another cough, “and it looks like we aren't going back to the compound.”
Viper, once done with the canteen, started to speak in a distressing tone. “Well, what about Cobra. Was anyone able to think we could save...”
“You stop right there soldier!” Yelped Jester. “We did what we could to try and save him; he chose to save us instead. None of us are to blame, you hear me! None of us!”
Viper nodded in agreement, but his eyes still had unnecessary guilt in them. Vader got up to pass the canteen back to Jester, but spoke in the process, “I accidentally grabbed his dog tags when we tried to pull him into the sewers. Here they are.”
Vader reached into his pocket and handed Jester the gleaming silver dog tags. They had some dried blood from Cobra himself still on them. Jester, as manly as he could, took the tags and placed them I his satchel. Everyone took a minute to sorta “forget” what happened. But once that time was over, Vader spoke up first.
“Well, how are we going to get out of here, we can't stay in here forever, and I am sorta getting tired to the “new sewer smell”, if you know what I mean.”
Jester thought on this and as if a light went on in his head, he began to speak.
“I think... Wait... Oh, hold on, stay here, let me check something.”
Jester, after receiving awkward looks from Viper and Vader, began running down into the sewer about one-hundred feet. The other men couldn't see him, but after five minutes, Jester came back and started speaking frantically.
“O.K, here's what we'll do. That manhole over there leads to the outer reaches of a pretty large town. There we can rest and look for a way out of here. It looks like it is around a mile or two away. But we don't wanna make a scene, so I think we better leave our equipment somewhere where it won't be found. The men chose just to drop their bags there on the cement slab that stuck out. They also chose to get rid of their armor. Once that was finished, all they had on where their uniforms and what little knick knacks that they could carry with themselves. And finally, they each had a handgun under their shirts. The men climbed up and out of the manhole and took a nice, clean breath. The men took the walk and in no time at all, they reached the town. There were a few people walking around going among their daily duties.
The town was covered in dim, gray bricks. There was a rather large fountain in the middle of this place. It was a man standing in a powerful pose with a German flag in his hands. Directly behind this statue was a train station and to it's left, was a motel of sorts. The men all had the same daydream in their heads. Three square meals, a soft bed; but they knew it wouldn't work out that way. They had no money. They had nothing whatsoever. However, they thought about it and decided, for now, they would have to find an “alternative” source of income; night thieves. Them men found themselves a small cubbyhole within a dark, damp alleyway. They sat there the whole night and waited. A few people threw a coin or two there way, but not so much as to they were able to receive a bed for that night, let alone five minutes. But, once the night got still, which was around one to two o'clock in the morning, the men climbed up the walls as if they were spiders and slowly, in prone, crept to the roof a house which was, as they observed, full of the richest people in the town. Down the side of the chimney they slid till their feet hit the solid ground. The men peeped into the window and took that the coast was clear. The slid the window open and, one at a time, crept in as if it were snakes that slithered in through the window. Each man looked around for any sign of money, and after around ten minutes, Viper found that sign. A simple flick of a hidden switch beneath a chair, and a painting over the fireplace flipped open to reveal a safe. The men, not thinking about taking time, just pulled the safe out from the wall and shut the painting back. The safe felt like it was full... of bricks! It had to have weighed two hundred pounds! All the men had to help in the moving of the safe. They tugged on their arms to pull more weight, and they were able to get the safe out the window, but there was no way for it to be moved any further than that.
Once back outside, the men shut the window and began on their fruitless attempts to open the safe. They had no tools, so everything was useless.
“Come on, hurry up, we don't have much time.” Whispered Jester.
“I'm trying, back off, O.K.” Yelped Viper.
“Well try harder!” Replied Jester.
“Hey, why don't you get down here and do it yourself if you want it done so badly!” Vipers voice rising.
“I don't have to do a damn thing! You just need to hurry up!”
“I don't have to hurray...”
BANG... BANG
Vader was standing next to Viper with his gun in his hands, pointed at the now opened safe.
“You two are babies, you know that?! Hurray up, I'm pretty sure they heard that, so we need to get that
money out now.”
The men, after shaking off the sound of the shot, grabbed every dollar they could grab, and threw it into Jester's satchel. Then, once they could see some people coming out from their houses to inspect the sound, the men, again like a spider, shimmied up the wall and ran across the roofs back to their hole in the alley. They could now see an occasional police car drive by and an innocent pedestrian walk by to stare at a crime scene. They weren't disturbed the rest of the night.
The next morning, they poured over the money sack and counted. They had a few thousand dollars, around ten. They put much of the money inconspicuously into their pockets, and placed the last of it back in the satchel. They walked to the hotel and ordered a room from the attendant, who begged them to take a bath before they stunk the hotel up too bad. They agreed and were lead to their room on the third floor. The men gave the attendant a simple five and shut the door. They each found the safe and put some of their gadgets within it. Then, as ordered, they each went to the shower and returned fresh and clean. The rest of the day, they just walked around the city and explored. They also walked next to the house the “borrowed” from. There was yellow tape sliding around the front and the safe and window situated outside. There where a few police officers outside talking with the owners, who where in hysterics. The men just continued on, a small sign of guilt on their face. The rest of the day was a breeze.
They had their lunch of pizza within an natural restaurant, but there were problems.
While eating their pizza, the men where talking of their mission, which was still incomplete.
“Technically, we did complete the mission! We got something from the base and we went back to ours! I think we're done here,” Vader yelled furiously.
“You know we can't just leave now,” screeched Jester, “we have to go back! For starters, we still don't have a way out of here, two...”
“If you haven't noticed, we have quite enough money to get a few train tickets! That can get us out of
here! And like you said, we already have something as for intel, so lets get the hell out of here.”
“We were ordered to destroy the base!”
“We have, if you haven't noticed, we blew nearly six grenades near the center!”
“You know as well as I that that barely scratched that compound! We're going back!”
The two men were nearly in hysterics, while Viper just sat and continued eating. The men, still steaming, stopped to grab a slice before it all disappeared. Then, suddenly, the men could hear in the background a man yelling at one of the assistants near the entrance.
